Just like it was before Just like it was before Just like it was before Just like it was before Warms nights Bright lights Dancing with my hands upon your chest Give me just this moment Leave the rest In your caress These days I find Memories of you won’t leave my mind If I could I would go back in time When you were mine I’m so sick of starin’ at my phone Wishin I was anywhere but home No one’s ever better off alone Take me back Take me back take me back Can we level up Can we rise above Find a modern love Just like it was before Don’t want to give up Don’t want to let go love was something more Just like it was before We used to live never looking back at yesterday you and I together come what may but glory fades I’m so sick of starin’ at my phone Wishin I was anywhere but home No one’s ever better off alone Take me back Take me back Just like it was before Can we level up Can we rise above Find a modern love Just like it was before Don’t want to give up Don’t want to let go love was something more Just like it was before Just like it was before Just like it was before Just like it was before Just like it was before

about

Fresh Boogie Angst signee Georges follows up his expertly crafted EP Sights, this time on remix duty for the latest LUXXURY single, Just Like It Was Before, his second one on the label after his excellent makeover of Kraak & Smaak’s Naked earlier this year.

The up-and-coming French electronic maestro grooves up the original even more with an infectious disco bassline, perfectly dancing around the already expertly written song.

With his trademark brand of organic, off kilter grooves, Georges perfectly complements the original subject matter and crafts a very nostalgic and emotional version perfect for an afternoon dance floor moment, with Jill Lamoureux’s cut up vocals beautifully peppered throughout.

Hazy and subdued but snaps where needed. Island afterparty-proof, but equally at place playing whilst cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway on a Friday evening.
